What frag to use after AOS Sandalwood

I know Tam Dao is not a match to AOS, But is the frag worth the price? And is the EdP a better option than the EdT?

Have you pulled the trigger and bought the Tam Dao? I think that it will be my next fragrance purchase, assuming that I don't come across some big sales on other things that interest me, ie., I couldn't resist the markdowns on Endymion and Brooks Brothers 1818 over the holidays. I believe that I would really enjoy a good sandalwood based fragrance, and the descriptions of Tam Dao make it sound appealing. I have both versions of the AOS Sandalwood soap, and the sandalwood scent is easily the longest lasting of any soap that I possess (BTW, the scent of the veg AOS sandalwood soap is better than the tallow). I would like to have a fragrance that complements it.

N.B. I checked the definition of "complement" to make sure that I was using it correctly. "A thing that completes or brings to perfection." Yeah, that's exactly the quality I want in a sandalwood fragrance after AOS Sandalwood soap!

Hey, I did not get Tam Dao. I couldn't decide between the EdP and EdT! And I didn't want to pay the shipping and taxes on Luckyscent to try them. I will make my way over to their actual store soon to see which one I like better. But I did snag a bottle of AOS Sandalwood, and to my nose, it compliments the shaving cream perfectly.

Meehans will set you back $84 plus shipping. Bonnydune Farms up in Santa Cruz grows lavender and makes small batches of lovely scents and skin care products. It is TRUE sandalwood with Bulgarian rosewater and cane. Even the bottle is a very expensive glassmaker. All this for $84 and shipping. I miss it. People need to try it to know what true Sandalwood is all about. LOVELY STUFF.

I almost pulled the trigger on Tam Dao but too many reviews said it was cedarwood heavy if I recall.

I find that the cedar is much more present in the EdP, but I get more of a regular sandalwood vibe from the EdT as far as my personal experience is concerned.

I have the EdT and love it. I get more sandalwood than cedar, which is the reason I bought it.

I follow AoS with Floris Santal and find it quite satisfying.

I wonder if TOBS Sandalwood aftershave splash would pair with it well. I have never smelled TOBS Sandalwood so I have no idea.

If the cream scent is any indication of the splash, I would not expect a good match.
