I now have 6 vintage sticks of Floris Verbena shaving soap coming. I don't know if I'll shave with them as sticks or if I will grate two together into a bowl and use like a puck.

Lol, I have a 620 and I'm wondering the same thing about the 830!
I figured for $20 shipped I could take a chance.
Shipped? Good deal man.
As usual, breaking in period would be a drag but the brush is pretty good for face lathering.
It's a lather Houdini though, not sure if it's the same with the 830.

The 830 is just a floppier version I guess the 620 has a little more backbone from what I have read. I still use it a lot. If you are in the US it is actually $22 shipped from here.

Congratulations, John. Those sticks are superb and, thankfully, haven't given me a reaction, unlike the No.89 pucks. Use them as intended. The soap is pretty soft and a doddle to rub on the face.
