I had one, and called it 'the beast.'.... Very aggressive.

I thought it more gator like than the  R41. Beautiful razor but it had fangs. ?

I already knew you thought this!!! I generally don't mind aggressive, but if ti is like the R41, I hesitate as I didn't like the R41 from what i remember. It was a bit more scrapey than I care for. The other OC razors I find a but much are my Blackbird Jet OC and my Parker 24C. I even tried the Blackbird with a less sharp Derby Green and I believe it was still a bit much even for me. I have the Karve OC-G which is a 1.37mm gap and I don't find that too much at all. C'mon Tommy, I know you wanna try it!!! Big Grin

You won't like the timeless bronze if R41 is too scrapey for you. It has a lot of blade feel. Need to ride the cap to not cut myself. With that said I got a BBS shave first try.

I do like blade feel, but remember the R41 not being to my liking. I'm really torn on trying it, but seeing comparisons to the R41 may be what keeps me at bay.

I knew it. Haha. Knowing it's too much for you doesn't put me off because I know our preferences are different. The comparison to the R41 make me pause. However, I haven;t used an R41 in years. this was likely be before I developed my like of some blade feel so it may feel differently to me today. Who knows? The debate rages on...

HighSpeed, what are you going to do with all that soap and aftershave?

Shave, sniff, and maybe drink a little bourbon.  But if I'm in a hurry, I might skip the shave.  Winking
