Going out on a limb scent wise for me with the Maximo Gomez Cuba.

I will. I have only tried 1 barbershop so far and that was Stirling. I enjoy Stirling soaps and I really liked it at first but as I used it more I didn't care so much for the talc powder scent. To my understanding Mikes doesn't fall into that talc profile.

Great choice of soaps (and blades)...I think you'll enjoy each of them!
The Maximo Gomez Cuba scent is really great but, a big reason why is that I love cigars. The scent really is reminiscent of a good cigar, kind of a sweet-spicy tobacco combination. It's the scent of an unlit cigar...I never pick-up a smokey scent from it.
Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks for the info. I do like cigars so glad to hear your description. I believe it's their new soap base also.

To my nose Mike's barbershop and Stirling's barbershop use the same scent profile - could just be a coincidence or maybe they get some of their scents from the same scent wizard. Thats ok because I like it - I get Stirling barbershop in bath soap also.

I'll have to disagree with Marko and say that Mike's Barbershop does not smell like Stirling's. Mike's is more like Maggard London Barbershop. It has a crisper, cleaner citrus note to it, less powdery. Stirling and Mystic Water are very similar to me.
