Brett,

Just looking at your pictures gives me acrophobia that is almost as severe as when I reach the second rung on a stepladder.

I am starting to sweat.

Definitely not a job for the faint of heart, but it is an adventure everyday and I enjoy it. The highest picture is probably around 60ft up. I have been up to 105ft in a bucket.

This is a most interesting thread!

Since the matter just came up on another thread — I’m a translator, interpreter and proofreader. My native tongues are Finnish and English; later I also learned Swedish, and went to a Swedish-speaking college.

What I most like about my job is that I can do it almost anywhere, as long as I have my computer and an internet connection. What I least like about my job is deadlines, and that my main employer is 10 hours ahead of me. Deadlines can seriously cut into my time on Damn Fine Shave.  Confused

Andrew, as the authority here on Damn Fine Shave, perhaps you could sign and send me an official letter that I can submit to my superiors. We could call it the “Freedom to Browse DFS without Worry of Deadlines” appeal.  Happy2

Glad the thread was revived!  It was good to go back through.  Sad that many that were once, very active have gone but some stalwarts are still here.

I’ve done lots of things in my life but currently, and for the last 20 years, I’ve been in sales, specifically products for the RV and Auto aftermarket.  Gents, I love my work and it takes me all across the great nations of USA and Canada.

I’d love to hear about what you do

If I replied to this thread in the past I don't remember ... old timer's disease ... or maybe a 'Joe BIden moment'  Rolleyes

So I was a union ironworker for 20 years but injuries in the line of duty led me to learn to tattoo and I worked in street shops for 23 years. Retired for 8 or 9 years now.

I've been in the classroom for a big part of the last twenty-five years, teaching English mostly. Along with teaching, I've done stints as a printer, translator, researcher, and an FTD floral delivery boy (still think that's one of the happiest jobs I've ever had).
