I followed in my fathers footsteps. I've been a firefighter for 14 years. He retired after 34 years of service. When I'm not at work I try to spend as much time with my kids as possible. Whether they like it or not.

Ive done a little bit of everything...cook, bartender, hotel management, wildlife rehabilitation, retail of all sorts...
Currently I am the office manager for a specialty contractor. We sell and install fireplaces, wood stoves, pellet stoves, and hearth appliances. Im mostly inside with the administrative side of things, but I get to refurbish old wood stoves and go out in the field to do some sweeps and repairs everybonce in awhile...
I do, however, have the opportunity to finish all of our wood mantels that we sell. Wood finishing has always been a passknate hobby of mine, so its nice to be able to incorporate that into my job as well...

I keep on breathing.
I used to be a Title Searcher. My own business for 30 years. I loved it. But the provincial government computerized and I became obsolete just in time to retire.

Been a Graphic Designer for right at 20 years. Worked mostly in the sportswear/promotional product realm. Doing marketing, logo creation, branding, etc. Started back to school at the ripe old age of 42 to get an Associates in Web Technologies to broaden my horizons. Hoping to transition into something more than just design work, we'll see...
Oh, my avatar is one of my designs that I did for myself.

I'm an Engineering Technician(Instrumentation) for a large Heavy Duty Diesel Engine manufacturer here in the U.S..
I get to play with all kinds of different data acquisition technology and computers. We use a combination of MS Windows and Linux-based computers. I love all of this geeky kind of stuff and it keeps my attention drawn into my job. I'm the type of person who gets bored without challenges, so this job is about as tailor-made for me as it can get. I guess with all of the constantly changing technology, I should be able to stay interested in what I'm doing until I'm ready to retire.(I hope!)

I'm an interaction designer for web and mobile products. I work on user interface, information architecture, interaction, and some good ol' composition and graphic design, though not in print, alas. I enjoy the work and I've become quite good at it, but, believe it or not, I'm looking to shift into making a career in comedy in one way or another. Hilarious, right?
David : DE shaving since Nov 2014. Nowadays giving in to the single-edge siren call.

life is too short to not do what you want.

Good luck with the comedy. I am a huge fan of comedy and I enjoy going to open mic nights to hear new comedians. Do you live in an area with a large comedy scene?
