What did you hone today?

Still tinkering with the PA Blue Slate!  This hone is really really neat, super fine, and it releases a very slight amount of natural oil from the last million years that got into the structure of it!  The result is that honing upon it is absolutely luxurious, and the edges are laser sharp and equally face friendly!

Fon gold star wedge. 

Went through a shapton kuromaku progression, finished on a mizu asagi jnat!

H. Diamond 1/4 hollow , put it through a shapton kuromaku progression and finished on a mizu asagi jnat! Made for a laser edge!

Put the ability 1500 razor through a shapton kuromaku progression except this time I started at 2k and went to 12k ,  finished on the jnat with slurry from a shobu tomo!  Made for a laser like edge  and a extremely  great shave!

Sent this super cross thru the shapton progression 1k thru 12k finished on the aiwiitani jnat using tomo slurry

Honed up this tanifuji maxfli 40 , went thru the shapton progression 1k thru 8k , then onto the slabby asagi jnat for a full nagura progression.  The shave was nothing short of stellar.

I love this green brick…the edges off of it are second to none!

Put this tanifuji maxfli thru a nagura progression on the aiwiitani , finished on some heavenly tomo slurry. The resulting edge was superb,  I'm honestly astounded by how sharp it was.

Sent this H. Diamond thru a shapton progression 1k thru 8k , moved onto the jnat for a nagura progression and finished on tomo slurry , made for a laser edge that yielded a effortless bbs shave
