Booker Carbon, suposidly honed by a reputable master, turned out to be dull in comparison to the Henckels I honed myself (my first and only hone), I could feel the difference on my face and on the thumb test.
did my own honing and the result was amazing, after stropping it is scary sharp. Waiting for my microscope to arrive so I
can see what I evidently can feel now.
As a Novis I figured its best to get the new Boker honed by a professional, paid extra 20USD for that, guess the saying is correct - If you really want something done right - do it yourself,
Killed the existing edge, used 4K/8k Norton, finished on Naniwa Super 12k and Arkansas Black

I cannot afford the car of my dreams but I can certainly shave with the best razor in the world!
Guillermo Hoppe 14 finished on an antique La Petite Blanche Coticule. The final finishing was done on the outrageously fantastic BBW side!
The Coticule side improved the scratch pattern from a 12k and it’s extremely fast on its own slurry. The BBW improved the scratch pattern of the coticule!
The BBW side is very glassy feeling, and this stone is just an absolute ACE!
The HHT was perfect, and the resultant edge was shavette sharp and very face friendly!
