I share your experience. I had one, sold it, then saw another for a great price and got it again. I later sold it.

Oh my God! I am awaiting a PILS purchased new on the manufacturer website. Reading to your posts makes me feel
This razor is quite controversial: you hate it or love it. Keep it or sold it rather quickly.
I didn't buy my PILS for the look (it looks like a tank, it probably is too heavy) but for the blade design (flat) that I was very curious to test. But I am expecting a miracle since my tastes are sometimes at the very opposite of other wet shavers. Nothing arrogant here. I fully respect and take into account others' choices, opinions and tastes. For instance, Feather ASD2 is nice but I don't like it that much. ATT is fine (I own a Kronos M2) but I don't find it cutting edge. I may be schizophrenic. Or maybe I like atypical razors with singular personality (I love the Mongoose).
Ultimately, PILS may confirm that curiosity kills the cat. At the cost of 200 euros! I should have spent these 200 euros with a psychotherapist to put me back on the right track
Fast forward to March 2016...I bought another one on a whim. I changed my angle to be much more shallow and put in a Voskhod. WHAT. A. DIFFERENCE. It's now moved to my #1 ahead of my oneblade and even Tradere SB. Don't get discouraged because it doesn't work for others. Give it a chance, if it performs half as well for you as it does for me you'll be happy.
