I absolutely need to try Stirling. I've seen so many good reviews.

Currently, my best is Ogallala Bay Rum Vanilla. The price was cheap ($8), it smells amazing, and the slickness is quite good.

Mind you, currently I've only tried: Ogalla, RR triple, Cella, Coates, CO Bigelow, and Cremo... So my experience is quite limited.

I could rotate through these for the rest of my days and be the happiest shaver in the world.

This is a very good list. If I had to pick two, they would be the legacy bison base from Declaration (but not Icarus) and MdC. Many other great soaps have been named above, but these are my two.

I’ve tried MdC multiple times but found that it dried out my face a bit. Thoughts?

I have tried mdc as well. It performed ok, but was tough for me to lather compared to others

Of all that I’ve tried, PannaCrema Nuàvia is in a class of its own.

Following very closely: Barrister and Mann (Glissant and Reserve) • Declaration Grooming (bison and Icarus) • Eleven • Mystic Water Soap • Talbot Shaving • WhollyKaw (donkey milk tallow).
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

My experience exactly. Plus not as cushioning and protective as the top new artisans’ soaps. MdC has been turned into a has been in this new marketplace.
