What aftershave splash/balm did you use today?

Vintage Floris No. 89 splash aftershave. Launched in 1951, its top notes are bergamot, orange, lavender, neroli, nutmeg and petitgrain; middle notes are geranium, rose and ylang-ylang; and base notes are Virginia cedar, oakmoss, sandalwood, vetiver and musk. It is characterized as a classical, old-school soapy barbershopmix ("a continuation of soap by other means"), having a woody aromatic fragrance with citrus, powdery and floral notes. The vintage (caramel colored) version is notably deeper and richer than the reformulated (transparent) one. My all-time favorite.

I have always wanted to try Floris 89. One day it will walk across my path and I will give it a go.

Ogallala Bay Rum

Ralph Lauren Safari, a clssic that is probably my second or third favorite aftershave. Safari, with a woody cologne fragrance, was launched in 1992. Top notes are aldehydes, artemisia, coriander, lavender, green notes, neroli, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are cyclamen, carnation, cinnamon, tarragon, jasmine and rose; and base notes are leather, sandalwood, amber, patchouli, musk, oakmoss and cedar.
