You know, I had to actually take a day and step back to take a look at the Wet Shaving community as a whole. Much of it lives and breathes online over the internet obviously. Thank goodness for that; because this allows passionate people who love this hobby/art form/culture to commune with each other; to share their excitement, their questions, their discoveries, their personal ventures, and even their disappointments in Wet Shaving.

I realize, and all of us must realize, that this is a "gentleman's culture, a gentleman's art-form, and hobby", period. However I have not only seen, and heard of, but have experienced personally some of the most childish and almost retarded behavior in this industry.

I say this and bring this to the stage because I am so thankful for the job that Andrew and the Mod staff here at DFS have done with this easy-going, fair, open-minded, gentlemans wet shaving community. I really enjoy myself here and would recommend this place to anyone who asked.

I'm sure many of us if not all who partake here feel the same.

Cheers!

It is a great forum. In particular because of the lack of restrictions for vendor posting. That allows for a lot of open communication between companies and consumers which is positive for the community. It also works the other way where no vendor is protected from negative posts because they pay forum dues. Openness and freedom of discussion is good policy in my opinion.

Having said all that, DFS is far from being the only great forum around. And I think that is largely due to the fact that most community members are mature and thoughtful people.

I understand that some of the other boards have crazy behavior or push certain products. Luckily, I found this one first and only had to hear about some the crazy behavior rather than experience it.

Amen to that Tone!  Nice thread and post. Your going to be a great asset to DFS and your right.

I've either participated or observed every shave forum since Charles Roberts got us rolling on MSN in the late 90's. DFS is clearly shaping up to be the finest of them all. A pure pleasure to be here. Happy2

Hey Shane! I agree 100%.

It's so important to have this type of free communication between vendors and consumers, and a good forum/online community is probably the most productive place for that. I also agree that there are other great forums aside from DFS, but I myself tend to like to keep my wet shaving camaraderie dedicated to one place... choosing DFS was the best choice for me. But I do hear of other great forums as well, unfortunately I also hear way too often about 'ONE', or two that don't fit the best Vendor / consumer communication model.... but that's for another thread. Lol.

That being said, my Blackbird kicks Ass!!

Yep, you found a great place in DFS.com. You're lucky you haven't had to deal with B.S. That some; including myself, have dealt with other places.
