That's the fuss IMO, they are no longer made, just as a Gillette British Aristocrat is no longer made and it is a better razor, lol....
Guess I got lucky with mine — I have the DLC from 2012, and the more DE-razors I have tried (classic & modern), the more I realize the Weber is my favorite. Now, SE-razors are a different story altogether…
Indeed. Some people got lucky and got good production razors, others not so much.
I talked with Ed from Weber Razors a while back, and it sounded like making modern stainless steel razors is a tough business… Wish they would take another shot at it, though. The prices for used Webers are indeed quite crazy; I would consider getting another one if it didn’t cost an arm and half a leg.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
