Wouldn't you pretty much have to cancel prior to one year with the $4 membership? It only gets you 1 month. Or am I missing something here?

I don't think it's that bad of a deal if you're somebody that orders a lot of stuff. Basically $3.33 a month for shipping. That is if you only order from them...

Looks like you didn't read the ToS and did the "I agree, whateve" thing Smile
Yeah, I saw that to. It is $4 per month but it is still a yearly membership--meaning it is a recurring monthly fee that you are agreeing to. And that works out to a bit over $47 for the year (regardless of whether you cancel) vs $39.95 for the whole year if you pay at once. Not an enticing model for me, but if $40-50 per year for "free" shipping seems like a good deal, then it is a good deal for YOU. Hence the YMMV motto.

He just called me because I inquired about it. If you do the monthly then you are still locked in a year. I didn't think so because what would be the point of the year membership. He said some people don't want to pay all upfront and want a monthly bill.
All well, looks like I'm locked in. At least I got the new soap.

Billed for a prorated amount made me think that you are only charged a portion of the year if you cancel early. It actually means you are still charged the rest of the year.

Oh okay. I get it now. I didn't actually read the terms. I was just going by what people posted here.

At least I got two of the new soap. Hopefully he sticks the new b&m soaps that come out this month so I can use my membership.

The best plan would be to get a group of 10+ people and get everyone to chip in a couple bucks for the year's membership. Then have one person order for each of the others. The shipping is free with your membership. So there's no real penalty for making 10+ orders.
I'm in

Guys, on the site it shows "Sold Out" for the B&M Passiflora. I can't say I'm crazy about the business model, to be honest, but to each his own.
