I’m Not sure if everyone have tried Wald Brushes particularly his A1 Syntetic knots but to me personally it’s truly remarkable Syntetic knot I have tried up to date from Jannick…did I mention it’s hand tied too as well.

He makes them in Fan & Bulb which are both wonderful knots to me personally!! I haven’t tried any badger knots from him but that’s next on list maybe J3 or J2!!

Pour in brushes are really nice the way he does and handle shapes my Fav is Nimbus but I’ll have “Stratos” shape coming in vintage Blue will Br looking forward to that  Happy2

Let me know what you think of Wald brush have you tried it and what’s your experience!!

Yes it’s not cheap but at the same time it’s worth it if you like to try something different.

Lastly to add his Presentation & Packaging is truly amazing the little finnal touch he does to me personally is..

I’m all about presentation, packaging is a must!! But hey YMMV..

Best Regards

Alan, great thread!
I'm surprised that Wald brushes are so little discussed.
Jannik is a great guy, very attentive to clients. I have a Wald synthetic brush.

The hair of this brush really differs significantly from other brushes. I like the handle and color design.
The brush does not splatter when used. Nice facial massage.

Compared to other synthetic brushes, it feels similar to the previous Synthetic Plisson model, only the knot is much tighter.

Thank you for reply and nice Color of the Blue Wald I like it  Happy2 his syntetic knots are very unique I don’t knot what specific knot I can compare to be precise on it!! Plisson is similar which is my fav regardles I’ll always have Plisson in my Den..

Now having Fan knot is little denser your right try Ti get Bulb knot it’s less dense and to me personally it’s just right, give it a try you’ll see difference even tho his Fan A1 are nice I enjoy them all!!

Next I’ll be ordering J3 knot try one of his badgers if I don’t find one here on DFS..

Thank you for the input great to see your enjoying your Wald Brush!

Did I mention his presentation & packaging is Awesome I appreciate little touch I’m all about presentation & packaging to me it’s a must!! But hey YMMV..

Best

Does anyone know of a good brush stand that will fit the Nimbus handle with a 29mm A1 fan?

I have always wanted to buy one but it is beyond my reach when it comes to costs. I have picked up an OUMO S1 which people say is a decent alternative to the wald Smile Only time will tell! But I will never know until I get a wald in my hands!

have one 3d printed on Etsy, I did for the Wald Nimbus.  Now I use it on my Rudy Vey and Brad Sears brushes when they dry as I no longer have that brush.

Oh great, now you've went and done it, you showed me a Wald brush in my favorite color, now I got to get one. Oh man, the enabling is strong here too. Why me? Ugg! SWCT now goes to look at the Wald brushes. LOL

PS: I am a big fan of the bulb knot style brushes, over the fan knots.

I use the SV brush stand for my Wald Nimbus and it fit's perfectly.

I picked up an A1 Shorty from a drop last June.  Frankly, I like my Rudy Vey/Muhle XL STF brush better.  This is a completely personal thing as I do think the A1 has a better feel to it.  I have only used my Wald a dozen times so maybe I'll change my mind.  Although I've been contemplating moving it on so who knows if that will come to pass.
