Vintage Gillette Revamp or leave

Been reading the new plating process is 3 times thicker and stronger than the original Gillette.
For value guess just depends on what people want. Fatboy Rhodium selling for $225 and mint like lost somewhere fatboy with box $150-200.

Finally said let's do a complete rhodium re plate on both . Love my E1 Fatboy I had them do in Rhodium.

Do you soak them in oil after having new plating done? I have hard water and the two rhodium plated razors I had redone both reacted funny with the blade for a while and got tea stains. Nothing serious. Wiped right off. I eventually smeared them with clipper oil and let them sit overnight before toweling them off. Never really had an issue with them after that.

Scott at http://hibcoshaveshoppe.com did them for me. $75 each with only a 7-10 day turnaround. Very friendly emails back and forth. But he is a little delayed, had a death in his family this week. His son and him are the only two that are doing the revamps.
They also sell revamps in eBay. Been debating on buying the E1 Fatboy he has in 24k gold.
