Most of the vids I watch the "dudes" in question are clothed and have a pretty good discussion on the subject in hand. JMO.

While there are precious few truly worthwhile ones out there, I find myself watching some of the less-than-perfect videos once in awhile. Many of them are cringeworthy, but I find them strangely entertaining. Then again, try as I might, I usually 'rubberneck' when there's an accident on the road.

Might I suggest a better approach than complaining?

It's easy-

Get a camera, and a tabletop tripod, and set it up in your room of choice. Grab your razors and start making reviews. Grab your soaps and start making reviews. Grab your splashes and start making reviews. Grab your brushes, your stands, your mirrors, your GEAR...and start making reviews.

Keep your clothes on, keep your chit-chat limited to the products in hand, and produce your own damn videos. Stop complaining about other people making the videos they want to make and start making your own.

If that sounds completely boring and uninteresting to you, I posit that it very likely sounds boring and uninteresting to the people out there making videos, as well. Probably why there isn't a whole selection of people doing it.

I would also recommend reigning in your homophobia just a little bit. Most of the shaving videos out there are dudes with barely the tops of their shoulders showing. If a guy with no shirt on makes you uncomfortable, the problem is yours, not the person making the video. Deal with it or stop watching. Clearly it is your problem, not theirs. What you see in every shaving video is less than what you see on any beach across the country...

There are a lot of people that like to complain about youtube shave videos and the people that make them, but very few of these individuals are willing to put forth the effort to make the changes they want to see.

So your options are limited: simmer down and make your own videos, or simmer down and stop bashing people that do. You personally may hate watching them. Ignore them. Move on, and stop troubling your sensitive self by watching them.

As a closing note...there are several females doing reviews, fully clothed, as well as several men that do, in plain fact, sit on their couches, fully clothed, and provide detailed reviews. Make a little more effort, and you'll find them.

But my guess is that you don;t care enough to try and actually find what you're looking for, let alone make nthe videos you want to see. Complaining without offering a solution is just whining...

You call everyone doing reviews "no-talents", and then discuss how the internet is overrun with "A**HOLES" commenting. Do you taste the irony as you type your complaint, or are you blind to it?

It's the price I have to pay, but I still don't enjoy doing it.
No, the price you have to pay is, evidently, $100. You hate the people making the videos, hate the videos, find the reviewers to be no-talent hacks, and find no redeeming qualities in the process. Sounds like your problem, not YouTube's...

Quote:If I had a hot wife or gf that would be willing to do it for me, I could probably gather a ton of views and pay for my razor habit. God knows I need more money to buy even more Edwin Jaggers.
Yea, because it's tough to find a review of an Edwin Jagger, anywhere other than YouTube shirtless guy's channel. Well, tough unless you look at Amazon, Ebay, or any mainstream vendor's website...

Quote:Maybe I'll post a video of me shaving my butt with one of my new EJs and then post it here...and then listen to you tell me how it was unwatchable...or that I missed a couple of spots.
It would be better than posting nothing but a string of complaints and thinly veiled insults at everyone that makes YouTube videos. But then again...just about anything would be better than being obnoxious towards people you have never met and likely never will, wall because they offered a service you refuse to provide, but in a manner you disagreed with...

No. I offered constructive options for eliminating your own frustrations rather than offering empty complaints and insults that do nothing to alleviate your symptoms.

Not liking the options does not invalidate them. At least I offered solutions, instead of just insults...
