Veritas - A special edition

I must reiterate to everyone, BE CAREFULL opening the container. It is really liquid and not a cream like TOBS. Open the container horizontally or it will spill out! I lost half my contents when I opened it slightly sideways.

I just did a test lather with a tiny amount that was on the floor that I cleaned up with a badger brush. The lather is very dense, slippery and shiny; I can’t wait to shave with it.

It's really not an issue. The soap was a gift from my wife and I was just not tracking that it was not set up. You should be incredibly proud, the scent is absolutely wonderful and my wife and I are such big fans of your products. Thank you so much!

Mine is starting to get a bit thicker as I have had it open in the bathroom on the counter all day but as you said, I will probably lose quite a bit. I am going to shave with it tomorrow and I do love the scent that is coming from it. What temperature is good for it to sit at. I could move it out to our master deck. We are in Atlanta and it gets to about 45 at night. Thoughts?

George I would keep it inside the heated home if possible.

I had a nice shave with Veritas this morning. I barely dipped the tips of my brush in the liquid soap and then started a face lather. The scent is really nice, complex and subtle. Once lathered it smells different from what you smell off the liquid/puck. The lather was thick, slick and provided a nick and irritation free shave. It is on par with other GD offerings. The consistency of the liquid soap however leaves a lot to be desired. The containers are not liquid tight and if the container lays on the side, the soap will works it’s way through the threads on the lid and dribble out. When I received mine in the mail, the soap had escaped some and was smeared on the bubble wrap.
I’m a little disappointed but the performance is quite excellent. An hour after the shave, my face feels great. If Mo, can fix the consistency, I would buy more.

Mo sent out an email this morning and is sending out replacement tubs that are the correct consistency. Send him an email at sales@groomingdept.com with your order number and he will be shipping out replacement tubs at no charge later this week. Mine came in liquid form and none had seeped out of the container. I left mine open on our bathroom counter yesterday and through today and it has thickened up quite a bit. It is no longer in a liquid form but more of a thick cream or “croap”. Very similar to the consistency of some of the CRSW Glide options. The only issue I have with it now is that some of it has evaporated but Mo is making good on this issue by shipping out new containers. The scent off the puck is wonderful but I will be Shaving later today or in the morning and I’m sure that the lather scent is amazing from what I have heard from others.

I just had my 2nd shave with Veritas this morning. WOW! I just performed the best shave of my life. I needed no pre or post products afterwards and my face feels fantastic. I smeared a little on my face and it burst into a creamy lather that was slick and protective. The scent is complex, multi-layered and very pleasant. I left the tub uncovered last night and it has thickened up a lot. It is hard to imagine how a shave could get any better. Veritas est Optimus.
