How many razors can you use at one time?

Don't get me wrong, I have a bit over a dozen straights and I do enjoy them, but the above are just my personal favorites that shave as well or better. The RX (V1)is truly a straight on a stick.

I always have 2 razors cued up in case of an unexpected dud or dull blade. Always 1 razor for a face shave.

During the summer for my head shaves I use 2 razors. A DE for the initial knockdown pass, and a Hydro-magic for subsequent passes. DE blades are cheap. Injector blades aren’t. I get more mileage out of my blade stash doing this.

I have not tried the Asylum RX, so I cannot comment on it specifically . I do have one SE razor that uses Feather AC blades;  I am not a fan. I use it occasionally.

I have two Karve razors. One is a brass razor with the solid bar D plate. I got the stainless version with a n open comb C plate, but never liked the OC version. I purchased the C plate. I like the Karve solid bar design and can easily complete an entire shave with either one of them, but for my beard and my skin, there is still a compromise with either one. I often use the Karve C plate for my ATG pass; it is wonderful in that role, but it is not efficient enough for WTG on a multi-day growth. The Karve D plate is superb for my XTG pass and does OK WTG, but it is a little too aggressive for my ATG pass with my sensitive skin.  If I wanted to use Karve razors for my entire shave, I would use a Karve E plate WTG, a Karve D plate XTG, a Karve C plate ATG, and then use a Karve B plate for my clean-up pass. That would eliminate any compromise.

While I have never used the other razors you own, I suspect I would find similar compromises with them that I find with Karve (or any other SE or DE razor I have tried).
I recognize that my beard is tougher than most and my skin is more sensitive than most, making shaving a balancing act. That is why I am so particular about my hardware, software, and shaving technique. I know that most shavers can use nearly any quality razor and get a good shave. Unfortunately, I do not have that luxury.

Blackbird or Lambda on my face, and Leaf on my head. I've been lazy in the mornings lately, so it'll be Blackland in the morning.

That’s why my dual comb comes handy at times. I usually do the first round (heavy growth) with 1.55 gap, then 1.15 side on the second round.

For my face I have found i really like a shavette, more specifically the Tedalus. Its the only shavette I own and therefor the only razor that touches my ugly mug. For the noggin I love the Brit Crat, more specifically the 3rd Gen but ill admit when I'm lazy for a few days of growth I'll reach for the 2nd.

You fellers are intense! Ill use one start to finish except if a blade is dull and I’ll swap razors mid-stream.

Never, I have no "bad" razors.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

It's like the blues, the best stuff comes from dead guys.
