Sudsy Soapery -  After Nuavia and Pure20, this is best soap I have used.  This is surprising since this soap is dirt cheap.

Pinging hawns , have you ever heard of/used Sudsy Soapery products? They're in STL.

Oh wow, I've been meaning to go there for a while, but I didn't realize that they sold shaving soaps. I'm going to have to check them out after work tomorrow (too many errands today...ugh)

Also, thanks guy! That's flattering to hear that!

The soaps they make are amazing.  The slickness, protection and post-shave are up there with the best (at least the best I've tried).  Their scents, however, are just okay.

Now, a collaboration between Sudsy Soapery and Chatillon Lux would be a match made in heaven.   I would be the first one in line to buy that soap.   If there were people in front of me, I would push and shove my way to the head of the line.   Dodgy

Elver Gun After visiting their website and checking out their ingredient list, I am very impressed so far. Kind of makes a guy want to put off his responsibilities and buy some soap!

Buy the soap. Being responsible is overrated.

If you do try it, let us know what you think.

I agree, your boss can always reschedule that client meeting. Wasn't there a Seinfeld episode about that?Smile

I also hate that you guys are talking about another potentially awesome soap that I haven't got yet. As a matter of fact, until 15 minutes ago I didn't even know that Sudsy Soapery existed and now I have to have their soap. I think I need to go and talk to a professional....Big Grin

That's what I wrote in another thread...but andrewjs18 convinced me that I needed one more soap.

The great thing about Sudsy Soapery is that their soaps are inexpensive (for now, until they realize what they are producing).

I have wanted to try Sudsy Soapery since I saw a Michael Freedberg review of it. Unfortunately none of their scents interest me. I think they only have three IIRC. No point in having a great performing soap that I don't enjoy the scent of. Too many other good soaps with more interesting scents.

It looks like they have four scents now. I haven't tried Sudsy Soapery yet, but it has been on the list ever since I read a review posted by a friend over at B&B. He is big shaving soap guy and if he raves about something, I pay attention. The problem I'm having is which product to buy next! There are SO many things hitting the market right now.

I just checked and they have 5. Almond & Vanilla, Sandalwood & Myrrh, Twice Mint, Lavender & Peppermint and Citrus & Bay.

I purchased the Lavender & Peppermint and  the Citrus & Bay.    The scents are not stupendous, but they will definitely not make you gag.   Sick     The Lavender & Peppermint is actually not bad at all -- you get hints of lavender through a cloud of peppermint.   The post shave feel is where this soap shines; not quite as good as Nuavia, but it is not too far behind.   It also approaches the levels of protection and slickness you get from Nuavia.   All this performance for 12 bucks.

I can't really compare it to other top performing soaps because Nuavia is the best soap I have used in that category.   It is certainly better than anything I had been using before (stuff like RR XXX, Cella, Proraso, Arko, Castle Forbes Lime, TOBS  and DR Harris).     I just can't use any of my old soaps now that I purchased Nuavia, Pure20 and Sudsy Soapery.

I used Cella and XXX  two or three shaves ago to make sure I wasn't imagining the performance of these three new soaps...and I got a couple of razor bumps and a little irritation after I shaved.

I've read that Twice Mint is to be avoided (smells like gum), so you might want to stay away from that one if you decide to give this soap a try.
