clint64 - I'll be sure to post some pics of other turnings I do as well. My current project is a vase for some flowers to give to my wife when she gets home. It's hard finding time to turn in between trips to and from the hospital. Feeding the dogs only takes so long. lol.

stemwad--maybe take your pics of the synthetic knots that you glue into existing handles to your own thread instead of trying to hijack someone else's?  A little respect goes a long way...

Thanks Chris! Feel free to get in touch with me if or when you decide to purchase a lathe. I'm still learning myself but I already learned a lot of valuable things to consider when purchasing a first lathe, turning tools, chucks, etc. I went with a Jet 1221VS and have been very pleased, but there are plenty of other great lathes to choose from.
