“ What is your top 3 razors “  Hard for me to list my top 3 razors with so many other variables. For example  beard  growth and how many days growth I have. So for me this is my best attempt to do so.

Top 3 Adjustable razors - The 3 razors listed below can cover a whole range of other DE razors and address my progressive beard growth shaving needs. So I’ve decided  I won’t include them in the lists below but they are some of my favorite razors and would easily be on some of or all the of the lists below.

Rocnel Sailor
Original Gibbs
Gillette Toggle

DE razors:

Top 3  DE razors for Daily ( 1 days growth)
Raw Shaving RS 10 mild plate
Gillette President
H&S  Black SS with NO75 Aluminum base plate

Top 3  DE razors for  2 days growth

Paradigm 2030 High polished
Raw Shaving RS10 aggressive plate
Yates Precision H Plate

Top 3  DE razors for 3  days growth
Blackland BB Titanium
Paradigm Titanium 1
Wolfman 1.55 DC Titanium

Top 3 DE  razors  for 4 days growth
Ikon Tech
2011 R41
Charcoal Goods Level 3 OC

NOTE:  The Rocnel Sailor goes from mild to wild and everywhere in between. It has taken me places no other razor in my den has so if I had to pick my top razor at this current moment this would be number one.

Good point about the many variables involved when deciding just top 3 razors, and interesting list with some great razors.

I remember the shave-off “saga” to determine the smoothest razor on a different forum a while ago. If memory serves me right, Raw Shaving RS10 won? And Timeless Ti .95 SB came second… but it’s no longer on this list?

The Shave Off thread , yeah some good times back then but I can’t imagine spending 2 to 3 hrs three times a week to put the Shave Offs up now as I’m way to busy trying to keep up with my work.

The Timeless Ti at this time would be on the 2 days growth list and would be number 4 on that list if we were able to add more than the Top 3. A good shaving razor for sure but I put the Yates H plate ahead of it by a nose. .

Henson Al medium
Lupo .95
Rex Ambassador.

Good point I forgot about my Rex I would put it in third probably.

With you. A fantastic handle. So well machined/designed. One of my beloved tools. Really amazed it did not get the love. I have an 'original' with the base plate that flips to aggessive/mild as well as the one non-flipper. Got to use mine tomorrow. They are still in business I think. Hope they survive the war. .
