Titanium Razor

All of this feedback and my own research has led me to rethink if I really want to go down this road. I get great shaves from my 1948 Aristocrat and is spending upward of $200 going to enhance my experience?It is not about the money. I can afford to spend more if it is something I really desire. I guess for me any razor is only worth so much. So now I am thinking maybe I should go for something different like a Rex Ambassador. The good thing is that there are a lot of great options out there at every price point. For now I will keep my eye on the BST and see what develops.

Where the Titanium razor really shines for me is in the weight. I've always loved the weight of the hollow brass razors like the Fatboy, Slim, or even the Red Tip. Aluminum seems too light, Stainless steel is ok, but a bit heavier than I prefer. Titanium is perfect. But I agree with your sentiment. It's not necessarily going to improve your shave results, even over something basic like a 34c. Only you can decide whether you want to invest the money to try one out.

For me, where a titanium shave excels is not the weight (for me) it’s actually a combination of face feel and imo making a razor seem smoother than in Ss counterpart with the benefit of the same efficiency or allows you to add extra pressure with benefit of even more efficiency. I also get less irritation with Ti razors. Just my 2cents

Again I want to thank everyone for the help. I decided to hold off on a Ti for now. I found a great deal on a Rex Envoy and await its arrival.
