Timor Blades

I actually ended scoring one to try and loaded one up in my Wolfman a few days ago. It gave me a very smooth and close shave. It had just the right amount of sharpness with zero pulling or tugging. Very very comfortable so I was pleasantly surprised. The Wolfie might have helped so next time I'll try it with the CG. Shows you over and over again how one person can have a totally different experience. I'll definitely be adding some to my rotation.

I find NOTHING works better than Timors in duFour razors. They are not super aggressive as the Feathers nor as blessed with stiction as the Gillettes. Blades are a very personal thing and have tried all the major brands. Liked PolSilvers for most mid efficient razors but when it comes time to load up one of the Wolfman or BBS1, IMMEDIATELY reach for a corked Timor good for 8 bbs shaves. However, for aggressive razors of other brands and body shaving, use Astra SPs. I am so enthralled with Timors, buy them in 200 lots. Anybody wanting to ditch their Timors, please PM and we will work a trade. Have bunch of stuff from blade sample packs, soap samples, full soaps and NIB high end frags to trade. Taking on all unloved Timors here!

Out of curiosity, where is the best (cheapest) place to buy these blades?

My experience has been Italian Barber is very well priced and always stocking. Some EU suppliers save a little sans VAT but for NA, it would be hard to beat Italian Barber

I find that Timor’s give me the best shave of any non-vintage blade. Sharpness, smoothness and durability. But I have verrrry thick stubble.

I believe that was me, and I continue to believe that. Great blades, but as you say, blades are a very personal thing.

Yes, vintage uncoated carbon blades that shave like a bean can lid. 

I have never used Timor branded blades, but I have used Merkur and Van der Hagen blades which are both sold as "ice tempered" from Solingen, so I presume they are made in the same factory. For my coarse beard, both of those blades are far to dull. Trying to use them is just painful due to tugging.
