Nope and I looked all over for it. Our guess is he bought it like that at an auction or estate sale expecting to get it fixed himself or resell it. I joked that since he was married a few times it might have had an engraving from one of his ex wives and he wanted to get rid of it haha.

Thats funny. I can relate to the whole, "I have no recollection of that" scenario. I'm only 58 and there's stuff that I just have no memory of that I'm told with certainty happened. I mean I don't even have a hazy recollection. There's only so much room in the storage banks and as you get older stuff gets pushed out. I was at the barber yesterday and a guy walks by and says hey! how are you doing? Shakes my hand and I say great, how are you doing? Who are you? Its a guy I went to university with and we were friends but its been about 15 years and we've both changed out appearance a little. Once he told me his name it all came back. It wasn't a case of "what is this guy's name?" but just "who is this guy?" Hilarious.

Orient Sentinel on a Worn and Wound Emerald Cordovan strap.

The emerald really makes the green Arabic numbers and second hand pop. Really gorgeous combo and the pictures doesn't do the Starburst justice.

Also happens to be relatively accurate for a $100 watch. Looking on average +6 spd. I'd take this watch over any quartz in the same price range.

I wish they sold more Orient Stars in the USA.

I'm on the hunt for a full vintage skeleton.

Yes, there are only a few legitimate U.S. dealers. The full skeleton has always been attractive for me, but too pricey for my budget.

Not a huge fan of the newly relaunched version under the 'Prestige' Line with the lower grade movement and oversized 'cupcake' crown.
