Timeless or Karve Safety Razor

Thank very much for reply and great points on all you mentioned I do have Karve SS Polished with Stand and Brass and will get aluminum as well 

Plates that I have is AA Plate which is good but need many passes to remove stubble as Per plate A its good plate removes stubble but get irritation on neck ohh and plate B gets me little irritation and this is using  Tiger Platinum Blades irritation free now I think also certain razor certain blades this is my belief I could be wrong I will try back Astra SS blades in it and 7 O'clock Gillete Super Stainless

For Timeless razor it's really nice and all aspects however the head is bulky tho and I don't really like that as you mention I much prefer low profile heads easy to clean up under nose and over all it's much better choice in my opinion

For Tatara razors I don't know how aggressive they are and how they would shave I might give it a try using feather blades they create me irritation and blood draw so I stay away from them lol

I don't consider the Masamune aggressive at all. Nodachi is the aggressive/efficient one. Make sure you get the Masamune, the original design. You don't need to use feathers, I get great results with Polsilvers, GSB etc. The SB Masamune is very comfortable.

Timeless razors are famous for their smoothness. The 68 you are looking for is exceptionally smooth, even in open comb. And they are beautifully made. I moved from Rockwell 6S to the Timeless, and quickly sold my Rockwell.

I can’t speak to Karve, as I’ve never owned one.

I also have Karve in brass and SS and love it. I prefer slightly more efficient plates, so use Karve D or C.

I’ve never tried a SS Timeless razor, but I purchased a Titanium Timeless with the 0.95 gap, and it’s a great razor.
People talk about Titanium having a softer feel on the face compared to SS, and I found that too.
I was slightly worried about the “bulky head”, and the razor being too light, as I like a bit of heft/ weight.
None of those issues were true in my case. It’s about 73 grams, and I find that the perfect weight: more manoeuvrable compared to heavier razors, whilst still having enough heft to do the work.
And I find the head very easy to use, even under the nose, etc
Overall it’s an amazing razor, very efficient for me whilst still being incredibly smooth and comfortable.

I believe you would like the Ti Timeless 0.68 SB based on what you describe (probably a bit more efficient than the Karve plates you use, but still comfortable on the face), but nobody can tell you for sure, unfortunately.
You will get lots of different (and useful..) opinions, but in the end you would have to try it yourself.
Certainly not cheap, but if it doesn’t work for you, I believe you could easily sell it without a huge loss.

I don’t understand where the love for the timeless comes from. Nice looking, well finished, terrible at its job. So many pop “singers” come to mind.

+1 on that. Imho the timeless (in my case a 95) is a wonderful razor. Very smooth, efficient, well-built, and nicely finished.

Thank you well I do that then I have polished Rockwell 6S full version with stand and used once I’m sure I can sell it and find timeless 68 here with stand to buy it

And your right nothing to loose and razor doesn’t require certain angle and I don’t know why they do that sometime needing certain angle when razor can be made without it with certain adjustments etc

Take my opinion with a grain of salt as I've never used the timeless .68, only the .95. But I had a wonderful shave with a bronze timeless .38 last night. Very smooth and mild while still remaining efficient.

I will try to get .68 would be good for me in titanium I will try to get it before my 40 th Birthday this January

WIth Karve, SS or brass, I like the F & G plates in SB or OC. Timeless a ,95. I've had the Feather AS-D2 and after many times trying, with all of the sharpest blades, I couldn't get a decent shave out of it.

I'd say you'd be well served by the Timeless .68 judging by your current likes and dislikes.
