I recently got myself the 0.38 Bronze razor and although its only been used I once, my first impression was that it was a little too mild for me and required much buffing anf cleanup to get a DFS.

Timeless claims all parts are interchangeable ...so want to confirm that I could acquire SS or Ti base plates to swap my bronze 0.38 as needed to create a razor with the bronze top cap and handle and a mixed metal base plate.

The Karve SB D plate has perhaps given me the best shave so far along with the blacklqnd blackbird and EJ 3one6.

Appreciate you opinion on which timeless plate would be best for me considering the above.

Thanks

Just sandwiched a ti SLIM base plate between a bronze top cap and handle. Everything fit perfectly.

The Timeless website says in bold letters (and you even noted it in the OP): Note: Our Bronze razor parts are interchangeable with both our Stainless Steel and Titanium razor pieces.

Why are you so reluctant to take the company’s word for it?

If you like Karve SB-D and BB, I believe you’d find the .68 plate too mild.
So I would suggest the original .95 plate. I have the Ti .95 and love it (Karve SB-D is also my favourite), so happy to recommend it.

The new SLIM plate might be another option, but I don’t have any experience with it.
Allegedly more aggressive and more blade feel compared to .95.

All parts are interchangeable, with only one caveat.
I understand that if you try to use the new SLIM plate with one of the original SS or Ti handles, the thread channel in the handle might not be deep enough (as they were designed for the original taller plates). So you either need to use a washer, or get a new handle.
Not sure if that’s an issue with the bronze handle, as that was designed for the bronze baseplates, which have a slimmer profile as well.
Hope that makes sense.
If unsure, feel free to email Timeless, they are always very prompt in replying and very helpful.

Thanks all for your inputs....I think i will look out for the 0.95 base plate and pick one up when i get a chance. Just wanted to do it right instead of picking up another plate and feeling I need something else.
