I own a Timeless, also think it the best shaving DE I have tried and tried quite a few BUT facts are facts.

The finish on the Timeless can't come close to matching a Wolfman (BBS1 - which I also own or real handmade Wolfman that is).  Even a cursory glance will reveal the lack of finishing on the Timeless; hell, Matt even acknowledges it without prodding.  Otherwise I agree it is the greatest shaver I have tried to date, is very reasonably priced for the innovative design (not just cosmetic but ergonomics and comfort imparted by design), production process (WEDM), mechanical execution and availability (surely due in part to the good but not stellar finishing quality).

Which is why I gave a slight nod to Wolfman, regarding the finish. But in scrutinizing the polished stainless goods from Timeless Razor, there's nothing to complain about. You'd be really hard pressed to pick a clear winner. And what do you buy a razor for, really? Shaving and not looking at. At easily half the cost and immediately availability, I know which one I'd pick. Every time.

I would agree with you on fit and finish.  My Wolfman is a better looking razor than my Timeless, no question about it, and in fact the Wolfman is the best looking razor I own.  The WRH2 handle is an absolute thing of beauty and I wish Timeless made handles that looked that fantastic.  Nevertheless, i do prefer the shave of my Timeless.  However, I do not plan on letting my Wolfman go out the door anytime soon since it is so hard to acquire and it is right behind the Timeless in shave quality for me.

I have to say getting back on topic, that Bronze timeless is absolutely stunning.  I've been on and off of the Timeless website all day trying to decide if I want to get it or not.

Guys I tried rewriting that a few times so it didn't come out badly - it was not the intent and know most of you have many years DE shaving on me.

Absolutely agree that pristine fit and finish adds nothing to shaving beyond a good job in fit and finish; performance is the reason think Timeless the closest one can get to a straight shave in a DE. The Timeless is so good, went out and bought one after using it for 2 shaves.

Just to clarify the above was BoarderPhreak's quote not mine.

Mine was: :Timeless makes the finest razors on the market today...even taking in Wolfman for consideration."

Wolfman are great razors but I have no interest in which razor is finished better. I was strictly talking about the shave quality and result. I passed my Wolfman on to my nephew.

Now back to the BRONZE!Happy2
