Happy Birthday. I find the WR1 .61 has a narrow angle of efficiency but once you find it it will shave smooth and probably equal to the Timeless 68.

I ordered the Timeless .68 SB in titanium and should arrive in a couple days. My preferred DE is the ATT Calypso R1 so I'll see how it does against that. I hope it's a winner.

Three shaves in with the .68 SB. I have the following comments for this razor:

1) It is very smooth and comfortable. Has little to no blade feel and at times wasn't sure it was cutting anything.
2) It is mild. Not as mild as the Feather AS-D2 or ATT M1, but milder than R1, EJ DE89, and other razors I've tried.
3) #1 comes at the price of efficiency. It's not as efficient as the ATT Calypso R1 or The General SE on the first pass. I could get away with a single pass shave with either of these but not with the timeless. HOWEVER, the Timeless catches up to these two after a second pass. Since I always do two passes, the efficiency of the first pass is not much of an issue for me.
4) My neck is very sensitive and I stopped doing a neck only 3rd pass a long time ago. This razor allows a 3rd pass on the neck, but maybe not every day.

My 3 shaves were with 1 to 1.5 days growth. I'd like to see how it handles 3 days growth. I may also try the .95 gap to compare.

Overall I like this razor. I need more time, but for now it is a keeper.

I’m glad you posted your thoughts. I’ve been debating between the 68 and 95. I like to feel the blade, so the 95 will probably work better for me.

Glad you like your timeless. It really is a terrific razor. I use the .68 sb as my daily shave. I'm going to invest in a .95 as well. There are two razors at the moment that really like my face. Timeless and Karve. Both razors are very accessible and offer some great finishes.

I'd also be interested in knowing if the scalloped baseplate in a .68 offers more efficiency than a SB.

I received this razor, a Timeless SS .95 SB in the high polished finish in a pass around on another forum. Just wanted to post my thoughts on it with just the 2nd shave on it and put a bit of a revival back into this thread. This razor deserves it and I didn’t want to open another thread topic. Hopefully the OP doesn’t mind me doing this.....

What can I say about this razor that hasn’t been said already, Gents? It delivered an amazing shave today without any fanfare. Paired it with a 2nd time use GP blade and it was pure bliss. A smoothness that is ever present with every passing stroke as it whittles down the hair on each subsequent pass. Mind you, it still has that ever present blade feel that is very welcome for my style of shaving. You feel that blade and its cutting action with superb audible feedback. Though one does get a nice amount of blade feel, it melds beautifully with the design of the razor head and the arc of the blades edge is in unison with the safety bars edge. Trust me, it’s not an intimidating feel at all but, rather a nice reminder that what you have in your hands is a razor that can cut whiskers with supreme efficiency. Don’t be careless with it and it will deliver the goods every single time. The Gillette Platinum is considered to be one of the best blades in the DE world and I’d have to say that with the Timeless .95, the pairing provides near perfection. The balance is just about right and the knurling on the handle gives perhaps the best feel of a razor I’ve experienced. Not to edgy or to smooth, just right. It simply is very well made, designed and executed from the top cap to the bottom of the handle. Timeless knows razors.....

Yep, my mind is made up. A few Surf & Turf outings with a few Rose deliveries thrown in should be a good start in convincing the Misses. A Man’s got to do what a Man’s got to do....

Happy shaves Gents.

GlazedBoker You nailed it as the amount of blade feel is just right. It is present yet not "threatening" yielding a very comfortable and smooth shave. The 95 gap is not as intimidating as the number may suggest. The SS head on your favorite Titanium handle makes it even more versatile and maneuverable if you want to treat yourself and not go all Timeless Titanium. The only drawback, for me, is the thickness of the Timeless head making it slightly tricky to get under the nose without a little effort - don't get me wrong it can be done it means you just need to pay attention. Start growing those roses for the better half so once you get it she will love your smooth shave.

Best of luck AJ

(12-23-2018, 04:37 PM)gregcss It is almost a year later than this post, so my comment may be too late, but ... I have found that by using a steeper angle than with many of my other razors, the efficiency increases substantially with my Timeless Titanium 0.68. Wrote: Three shaves in with the .68 SB. As usual an excellent detailed review Gus! A little over a week ago I pulled out my high polished Titanium Timeless 95 DC .95 and had a memorable 2 pass BBS shave. A great combination of smoothness and efficiency.
