Thoughts on the New Ti Glide from Titaner ?

I came across this new Razor design and you can reserve it for a dollar. i'm a fan of the Vector Ti and the Shield Avenger Ti. Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on this. I have added a link to it and sharing a few pics as well.

Looks like the blade is clamped quite securely. The Soloedge has really taken off. Leaf did not continue to innovate or improve, so they are getting disrupted.

I'd rather not give a mystery HK website my CC though.

That little screw/bolts looks to be easily permalost down the drain, lol.

Looks like marketing to me. A de razor with the head covered on one side and attached to the handle at an angle that my wrist already handles fine. A solution in search of a problem that isn't there but that's just me.

They should do a passaround, I'd be interested in trying it, but not interested enough to throw money at it otherwise.

Talks a little much for my tastes but, I won't lie as I'm a head shaver myself. The longer handle for me is intriguing.  Keeping an eye on it....

I purchased a Parker Soloedge to see if I would like it. I found it to be OK, buy it has not surplanted any of my DE razors.

For those who have difficulty finding and maintaining the proper shave angle using a DE razor, this type of razor works well.

For shaving in tight places, a Schick injector razor is much more compact and also eliminates the shave angle issue.

It is interesting that the web site gives no hint of the sales price. I wonder if this is exploratory marketing that will end up as vaporware.

That 17.86 degree shave angle is about the angle of a straight razor with the spine resting on your face.

So, it seems a bit shallow to me. Would be OK if the range of useful shave angles is large, but I can't tell from the pictures if that is the case.

GlazedBoker , they put this out on kickstarter recently and I think a refined design should be out soon. I did use the prototype for about 7 shaves and it was a terrific smooth shaver, wo and a half pass BBS with practically no blade feel. I'm not a fan of neutral exposure and favor a positive one for most of my Razors. This one surprised me with its efficiency and smoothness, the only drawback being the steep angle and that apparently is being worked on.

The material is grade 5 Ti but it has a good bit of weight being solid towards the base of the dandle and it almost feels like a SS Razor. To be fair, this Razor took me by surprise with being a Half DE Blade tool but with a result like an AC Single Edge Shaver.

I do love Subie cause he shares a good bit of info freely on Razor and soap hacks etc. Like you mate, I find the endless chatter a bit annoying but there is a positive side - How many of us can go through 15 to 20 minutes of a video with that energy level at 95 to 99 percent, ha ha ha ha ha. I know someone termed him an Energizer Bunny and I couldn't think of a more appropriate name. Seems like a really good bloke otherwise.

Tedolph , you are bang on about the angle, it was tough while using the Razor to get under the nose and the lower neck. It felt like it needed a shallow angle but with the intuitive head it was easy to dial in the angle and I landed up shaving steep. The intention of the designer apparently was to use the Razor WTG on the cheeks and ATG on the neck area and below the nose. Having said that, I prefer my first pass to be WTG always. They are reworking that angle and I think it will help big time.
