Living on the edge
(This post was last modified: Yesterday, 03:01 PM by Tester28. Edited 1 time in total.)
Managed to get one of these Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinums to try. Via a colleague who
was travelling to India for work. So impressed, I ordered 500 more when he went there next.

They exceed the performance of vintage Platinums from the 70s ...and are noticeably better than
the older Gillette Platinums that come in the white and blue packaging (with Middle Eastern script).

These give Wizamets, Pols and Silver Blues a real run for the money. Super smooth.

The prices on these have doubled since 2021 but $70-ish was a tolerable price for 500. They came in
a smart little case of 100 each.

Have seen some poor reviews for these on amazon but those blades are made at some other factory.
If you ever get a chance to order, look for the address mentioned in the second picture.

Those blades are available on Top of The Chain so there's no need to go to India for them.  Unless you want to of course.

In my evaluation of more than 80 razor blades, the 7 O'Clock Super Platinum Blacks tied with Nacet Platinum (discontinued) for 2nd place. BIC Chrome Platinum edged them out for 1st place. All three are superb blades, both very sharp and very smooth.
