Is there any way to pick a different theme while on the forum?

I'm hoping for something a little easier on the eyes. Less white space for nighttime maybe. Not looking to go into dark mode or blacked out. Would be nice to have an option for a darker theme that could be switched to through the user settings now and then.

If something like that is even a thing? If it's already possible and I'm just not looking in the right place let me know how please.

I don't know that you can change the theme. Here are a couple of suggestions. First, there is an app you can download called f.lux. It will change the lighting on your computer screen to reduce eye strain. Also, you may turn down the brightness. When I'm in bed, I have my macbook pro turned down to where there is only one bar on the brightness scale.

I understand why yoyu are bringing this up - I deal with the same issue.

I’m with bakerbarber on this one, it would be really nice to have a, say, dark gray theme. I use f.lux, but DFS is still quite bright even when f.lux is dimming my screen.

All this being said, I have to add that DFS is a lot easier on the eyes than most other forums; nice, clean design, good default font and intuitive functions.

leefish, I'd go blind if I had to look at something like that for any length of time. However, if it, or something like it, was an option that we could switch back and forth between then that would be great. Happy2

Leefish, that looks very good to me! I work on my computer all day, and although the glaring white seems to have been the norm ever since Word, WordPerfect et al. switched away from the blue background, it does get a little “old” especially during darker hours of the day.

Just having the option to use one dark theme in addition to the default one would be magnificent, and the one you show in your picture would fit the bill perfectly! Smile

I meant to tag you in this thread last night, leefish.

that color combo you posted above looks pretty good. we also have that white version of the logo we could use, if need be!
