It came yesterday. The Feather Super Pro blade only had on shave on it, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it on the OC. It is more efficient and more comfortable with stubble, but less likely to accidentally sideslip while maneuvering. So, there’s really no penalty for the improved efficiency (for me). This is exactly what the Vector needed.

Same geometry, more efficient.
A miracle.

Got a new Vector yesterday.  The design is, obviously, fabulous, and the feel in the hand is sweet.  When I was considering, I called Blackland and had a great conversation with Shane -- it's fabulous to be able to talk directly to the man in charge.  Although I got both bases, I went with the SB and a Feather Pro this morning.  Easily the best first shave I've ever had with a new razor.  Easily.  A great shave. Thanks, Shane.  Can only get better from here![Image: YxEloGw.jpg]

Depends on how you define the geometry. But yes, all else being equal, I do find OC to be a little more efficient. The same is true for the Blackbird OC vs SB.

Received my OC Vector baseplate yesterday so just did a shave with it tonight on 36 hour growth. First impressions are:
You can feel the teeth at a steep angle and loose all feel of teeth at a shallow angle.
I settled in at about a 35-40 degree angle (Handle to face) and it was a very smooth shave with a slight feel of the OC and blade. I did a typical 3 pass shave with it and received a wonderful BBS. I will see what the duration of the BBS is but I would agree that the OC is a slight step up in efficiency, NOT at the level of a Classic Cobra or an Asylum Rx but definitely noticeable from the SB.

Nice initial thoughts Mark, Thanks

On Vector is even better, being the thickness of the AC blade.
I love the truth. I've always one o two in my pocket.

The thickness of the blade doesn’t change when swapping the exact same blade from one base to the other.
