The Vector, SE RAD Killer

For over a year I'd been fighting the urge to buy a Vector, telling myself my ATT SE-1 and my aluminum Hawk are plenty. I'm glad temptation won. The Vector is, for my face, easily the best SE razor I've used, a small group including the two mentioned above and the now extinct Mongoose. It's handsome, efficient, and smooth--at least with the Schick Proline (I'm really starting to avoid the Feather AC blades which, on my face, feel like I'm shaving with a broken bottle.) The angle was easy to find. It was easy to get the hairs by my nostrils and on my upper lip. My usual three passes (with Nivea shaving cream) left me BBS for a little over twelve hours.

I had the same experience exactly with the using tons of other SE razors and putting off putting off putting off finally getting the Vector and wondering why I kept putting it off.

I used the Cobra Classic, Mongoose and ATT years ago, having very little luck with any AC blades. Shaves were always rough no matter what I did. I bought my Vector a few months ago as I had never used the Proline blade and I've had such great luck with Blackland products I had to try it. It's a really phenomenal razor with the most nimble head design possible, great efficiency, and amazing smoothness. My girlfriend has essentially stolen it from me and it's all she uses for her legs now. I can't recommend it enough.

I would second this, although I'm a little more of a fan of the Schick Pro Line blades for smoothness. Once you have your hair growth mapped, the head size along with the easy to find shaving angle...it just works. The head size (as mentioned) also is a wonder for the under nose area that regular DEs/SEs head size make precise areas tough to get at.

I have some Schick blades that I need to try!
