I finally went ahead and purchased the Ebony T3. I had my eye on it for a bit, and then it disappeared. Once I saw it again, I just jumped on it, so I had it. So now I have a small collection of the emerald, ivory, and the Ebony, a biggest regret was they had some really cool limited on the Simpson website that were on sale for about $25 USD. They had four that I really liked and the shipping was about $25 USD for all four of them, so I was looking at about $125, USD for them. That's quite a bargain. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the cash and missed out and have not seen them anywhere else since. So, the search continues.

In my opinion, these brushes are a fantastic wet shaving value. Especially when you consider the price/performance aspect of it. I would say it's a well kept wet shaving secret, but clearly it's not as so many people own brushes from the Trafalgar series as well as many of the other Simpson brushes, which I'm sure are fantastic as well. These are definitely very popular and with good reason.

Nice looking collection!

I was so glad to see they offered color options now. I picked up the Sapphire and it was beautiful. They really did a nice job IMO. Unfortunately, the knot wasn't for me... too scrubby. Still, I think they did their customers a great service getting into this variety. With so many folks loving their brushes, it gives them even more choices.

MrD! Glad you tried one.

Does scrubby mean the tips weren't soft enough? I love the splay and permeability on these babies. Curious regarding your interpretation before I keep recommending them!

Thank you!!! The Sapphire is sweet. As great as I believe they are, everyone likes something different. o they, like any product, aren't for everyone.

I feel that with many synthetics, the tips are soft, but the side of the bristles provide a bit of scrub. It varies depending on the type of bristle.

With the Trafalgar, I felt the tips also had some scritch to them. This made it less comfortable from any angle.

Still, it was good to try it and know. I definitely have sensitive skin. So, my threshold for scratch, blade feel, irritation, etc, falls well below most folks (I think).

A quick check and I also found Amethyst, blue opal, and white pearl. Wow, Simpson has upped their handle game big time. Kudos to them!

Unfortunately, the prices are also "upped". Lol. £45... or $57 USD. Ouch. Still, some darn nice handles.

Ugh, I just looked. They are darn nice but $57 is a bit much plus shipping. There is also what they call Nebular and a faux tortoise shell.

Would like more options for handle colors on the T1 and even the T2.  T3 is way bigger knot than I prefer.

I understand.I would not object to that at all. I was just thinking of a smaller Trafalgar today as I brush loaded off a puck. A smaller knot might be easier. I never really paid much attention to knot size.
