Would love to try the Sabre sometime...especially after a close/irritation-free shave with the Clog Pruf this morning.

As already mentioned, all the razors produced by ASR from the G-Bar through the Contours shave similarly as they share essentially the same head design. They're so cheap on the used market you could pick them all up for less than the cost of a steak dinner. Rather than more of the same though I day give the the Clog-Pruf and 1912, they are still easy shavers but more efficient than their post war cousins. I prefer the MMOC, 1924, and 1914 but they are definitely a step up in aggressiveness.

FWIW, the clogPruf makes an excellent head shaver.

I can't bring myself to venture away from GEM style razors in the SE world. I have a Schick G1 injector I've been wanting to try but don't want to spend the cash on the much more expensive blades. With that said I was quick to pass over the AC style razors for that same reason. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Schick Injector users,

I'm curious. I purchased a I series injector off of ebay and it looks to be in user grade shape, it should be coming eventually. I was wanting a medium to mild/medium aggressive shave. Would you guys suggest J, I, M, L series injectors?

Also, it seems that the injectors in nicer shape are being offered for the somewhere around $35 US and up. Now many of these have "make offer" on them but I still thought that mid-30s was pretty high for an older razor. Is that what they go for typically? I was looking at a couple of J series and M series that were in good shape and wow, high. The GEMs seem to be much more affordable and thanks to wyze0ne I'm a convert.

Finally, are the E and G series Injectors that much more aggressive than the J,I, M, L series because it seems like the G, E series are usually more affordable and I wouldn't mind trying one.

Thanks for any help gentlemen.

EDIT: I mean to type that I bought an I-1 from ebay not a J series like I stated before

I think the I, either the hydromagic i2 or the i1, is a great mild shaver and the best handling. None of the I through O Schicks are at all aggressive. The G is a bit aggressive, and while the E series can vary, the E2 is definitely a razor that can bite. The H is an under appreciated gem if you can get used to the unusual form factor.

I appreciate the advice. We will see how I like the I series I just purchased and go from there. I would like a few of these in good condition but like I said, they are a bit pricey on ebay. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing many of them turned loose on the BSTs.
