There is an obvious huge growth in wet shaving not only by the sheer number of artisans coming onto the scene but, over the last three years, finding safety razors at antique stores is becoming harder and harder, especially DE vintage razors. I travel often for work, and I never had a problem finding DE safety razors three years ago in antique stores. Fast forward to today, when I ask a shop owner if they have any, I'm usually greeted with "what is it with safety razors, I haven't had any for months" or I'm met with inflated prices. I think the days of cheap vintage are over. Millenials and gen xers make up the fastest growing segment of wet shaving and they have disposal income to spare.

I've actually never had any luck finding old razors in any local antique shops.

I've got about 30 vintage razors at the moment and paid less than $40 per razor, with many falling in under $20. Most of them aren't "steals" as they aren't in super collector-grade condition, but I'm sure I could flip them and get every penny of my investment back.

Perhaps the price has risen in the past few months without me realizing it. I can't say I'm surprised though. Wet shaving is growing, and there's a finite supply of vintage razors. These things happen, right?

I paid $20 for 3 razors a few years ago on craigslist. the 3 razors included a super rare schick injector F type with the case, a gillette new and a segal..sold the gillette new and the segal for like $30 and the injector F type for $70 or $80..I kept all of them for a while, except for the segal as it uses proprietary blades.
