Marko, I shall be looking forward to your thoughts on the Variant when it arrives and you get a chance to use it.  When the one I purchased from vtmax arrived, I didn’t quite know what to make of it.  The weight wasn’t the lightest or heaviest of the razors I own, the handle was longer than I expected, the way to open the razor for blade placement and the way that is directly tied in with the adjustment knob, and the (to me) wide gap with the razor set at only 2.5 all had me wondering if I would like it.  Then, I took it for its first run.  It was love at first shave.  Everything just fell into place as if I had been using it for years.  Recently, the only other DE razor that has surprised me as much is the ridiculously inexpensive Ming Shi 2000S.

It's a great razor that delivers every single time and for under $60. Smoothness, efficiency, well made and adjustability at a ridiculous price. Did I mention that it's very affordable? Happy2

Nice!

After all the Wolfman’s, Charcoal Level 2 & 3, Pils, Timeless .68 & .95, Bronze, Rockwell 6S, Mergress and more I’m down (thank goodness) to only two razors in the den. Their that good!

Hadn’t shaved with a Variant in ages. Just as smooth and efficient as I remember. Yup, that’s the Rose Gold one and that makes it three Variants in the stable for me. An awesome shave tonight. Couldn’t have asked for a more comfy shave. Well, maybe but, let’s leave it at that. It’s been put on the back burner for me with all the newer and latest releases of fine craftsmanship that I’ve been chasing. The Parker delivers, period.

I've been thinking the same thing about mine - not the Rose Gold though, but it'll do. Smile
