The 7 O'Clock Super Platinum blades are made by Gillette in India. They are some of the sharpest, smoothest blades that Gillette makes....ONCE you get past the first shave. The blades have a rather thick coating. Thus, the 1st shave is only mid-sharp. As the coating wears off, the blades become super-sharp putting them into the same category as Feather blades and BIC Chrome Platinum.. Recently, the Super Platinum blades have become rather expensive in the States. I got mine before the price went up.
I have a lot of favorites. And of course there's the variables of what razor the blade is loaded into, and if it's an adjustable, what setting it's on. Yadda, yadda, yadda. But if limited to just one blade for the rest of my days, there's really no question. Feather Hi-Stainless. What all other blades wanna be when they grow up.
Wilkinson Sword ( germany ) .
Note : The made-in-India Astra Superior Platinum blades are the EXACT SAME blades with the Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum ( blacks ) ,also made in India.
Only differences are the different package
and brandname ,as well their price .
ASP cost about three times less than the
'black ninjas' .
