My wife's grandfather was a salesman for a steel company. He traveled a fair bit for work. He told me that he bought a round razor once and didn't realize it was for women's under arms. He said that he couldn't shave with it because his face is flat and the blade only made contact in one little spot at a time.
He's in his mid 80's now. Uses a cartridge razor now. It's too bad he didn't hang onto all the neat old razors I imagine he came across and even used over the years.
He told me he had a triangle shaped one too once. The blades were hard to find and they were small. So he just got a DE razor. The funniest thing is that he said he would get a new one from time to time just to have a nice looking one. Like a toothbrush. Not just the blades. A new razor just for the sake of having a new one.
That man knows how to live and enjoy living. Not wasteful or fickle by any means. Pragmatic and practical and able to appreciate things for what they are, things.
