I never got the hurry thing. How much time does one spend on Facebook or some other thing on the internet.... Couldn't a fraction of the time be spend taking care of yourself? Confusedhrug:

Nope,if that were the case everybody would be DE shaving right now.  Younger generations have different priorities I guess.

Hey man, I'm only 33! =p

Here are the ladies in my life...

Oh, wait, ok...sorry. I saw the title of the thread and thought "ok, here are the ladies in my life..." LOL

I digress..seriously, my wife uses and loves her 1970's Schick Krona with Astra SS greens and what ever shave soap is within reach (we have plenty...believe me Smile )

She like the longer handle on the Schick for leg shaving and also likes that the handle is plastic (lightweight, yet still substantial)

Although my wife is very tolerant - in fact encouraging - of my wet shaving activities and acquisitions, I cannot get her interested in trying anything other than the disposable razors that she uses in the shower.

I was having severe razor burn and such issues during winter in my neck. I tried various cartridges without much luck. Then tried electric - thinking I am not being modern enough.

I eventually picked up a cream, after shave and brush from Art of Shaving store. This helped to some extent but didn't solve my problem completely. Then I found online that some folks use single blade (DE) razors with great comfort and read an article about problems associated with multi blade cartridges. I showed that to my wife and she told me my (late) father in law used to use that and she used it for her legs when she was younger.

So I picked up a EJ DE89 from Amazon and it was my wife who (kind of) taught me how to use a DE!!

She uses those Venus or whatever now even though I insisted on using one of mine.

Great story!

My wife has a saying..."what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine".
That being said. She is a person of habit and convenience. She steals my free schicks that come in the mail. But never buys or changes blades. Then she takes my one bladers that I use for quick shaves and travel. But she uses bar soap for the legs and such... I did shave her legs using some PAA soap. But she was like ho hum.

After buying some soap samples, assembling a brush, and offering to help with starting out — no luck yet on converting my wife, as she hasn’t even tried what I’ve gotten her. Hopefully that’ll change in the future.

My wife makes fun of my razor "collection". I tried to get her to try it, but she's scared and I can't convince her otherwise.
