It doesn't look like a biggie to me.
It seems like when they assembled the adjuster dial they put it on the wrong way and the middle plate just needs to be turned 180 degrees.

While slightly annoying I agree it does not look like a big deal if it works. It's not like it was a $500 Rocnel with pieces falling off of it etc.....

I was trying to say this, when I switch ring direction, it is not turning (top and bottom). Other direction is quite smooth.
I rotated the shim plate, now first setting is #0 or #6 without a blade.

Taiga has samething, too. If you gonna rotate shim plate 180 degree, first setting will be #3 or #4.
I think rotating top cap will change first setting # in Rocnel, too.

So there's a wrong assembly and the right way is all?

So if Im reading correct, whoever assembled these razors got this head alignment 180º the other way around?

The Sailor anchor crest loosening was not affecting function so a minor irritant...but if this can be fixed
in the Regable that's good for buyers.

Anyway, the spring needing to be switched to a Rex etc was another doozy.

I was trying to say every adjustable razor has same, when you replace the direction of the parts. 
After rotating shim plate in few seconds, it is perfectly fine. And it has lock like rex, so will not have any issue after that.. 
In high settings, the gap looks even to me. Hope Dave's razor will be fine.

All chrome short handled version. Decent weight, with good overall balance, still feels biased towards the head in my hands. First shave was actually quite nice with a fresh Bic Chrome Platinum. Shaved with it on 6 then 4 as the N is 3 but, is the lowest setting on the razor. At least on my sample. The movement is very nice and smooth throughout its whole range and it opens up to a pretty nice gap coming round to the 4 (technically a 7, maybe 8?) setting at almost a full turn and a slight bit extra. A nice 2.5 pass shave that was quite good. Greenfresh brought the suds for extreme comfort & glide. Not bad, not bad at all on its first shave. More to come….

Great first outing and impressions Gus. I had a similar enjoyable first outing shave just now. Smooth and appears efficient on setting 4 with 3 passes. I too though had nothing below 3.5 as it didn't quite get to the N (3) setting so in my mind they were early to this like the Yaqi that took several attempts to straighten it out before "The Final Cut" Razor. I wish people would have it right BEFORE selling them.......Video uploading now and will post when it does.

Dave, when you disassembled dial and reassembled back, did you have direction correct?
You might wanna recheck, by removing dial and put it back opposite direction.

It's not just the dial being upside down or right side up. It's also in which direction you install the adjustment tray into the bottom plate. Try rotating the tray 180 with respect to the baseplate, then try the knob in both orientations. I don't have the production version, but on the testers, I had to play with the orientation of both the tray and the adjustment knob in order to get it right. When correct, it should line up pretty close to the 6 (which is also 0) when tightened all the way to the right. I also had to do it with the handle off to figure it out, because if the handle was tightened down with the knob too far left, the handle would restrict the knob's ability to turn back all the way to 0 (a.k.a. 6).

Yep, I'm familiar with how it disassembles and goes together and the only variable would be the dial being upside down but it didn't matter which way it was you would still only have partial adjustability. As I stated above it's a known problem that Neil was already aware of. 

You are unlucky. My aluminum one is quite fine. 
Starts from N (#3) and going to #4 after one turn (like #7). Dial is smooth. 
When I release the handle, I can turn from N (#3)  to #6 after 2 turn (like #15).
I hope he is still keeping extra ones for replacement. I haven't shaved it yet, but quality is super high to me.

Understand me that mine is on N or close depending on which way the dial is installed I believe but it should be starting on 1 if working correctly not N. Neil said there is a video explaining the N start point and that he would send it to me but I have not received it yet. Either way when I put my car in park it's parked not in third gear. It should be starting at 1 and going to 6.

Actually, it should start on 6 (which is also 0) when tightened all the way. N is Neutral. From there you should be able to adjust down 3 levels to 0, or up 3 levels to 6. That's how the tester worked. See my previous comment.

Mine is out for delivery, but I have a quick question somebody might be able to answer. It was mentioned in the video above that the Rex spring was better. While I was there, I saw that they have a new "budget" stand. Does anybody know if the Rex stands will fit in the tail end of these new razors? I like having a stand and plan to get a Konsul eventually...
