I have one on the way and will let you know.  For me Plisson & EJ are the best synthetics I've tried (EJ XL is my favorite).  I really look forward to trying the Zenith.

Thanks. I shall look forward to your thoughts. Smile

Please let us know what you think. I'm more of a boar user, so my knowledge of synthetics are limited. I like mine better than my Pure tech reknot, the Zenith has more backbone. I've never used a Plisson or EJ.

Thanks for your purchase, I'll be sending it out Monday.

I received my Zenith in the mail yesterday.  Gave it a good shampoo, even though there was virtually no bad odor as used to be expected with a new boar brush. This morning it performed great with the soap, and made an avalanche of thick rich lather for me. No complaints, I'm quite happy with it. It's the one with the tall loft and the red handle. This is the B3. I like the weight of the brush. Thanks to jankdc for enabling my attraction for big premium boar brushes.

It has a plastic core. But it's a thicker aluminum, it's not like aluminum foil. This was my daily driver for many years on the left (I did polish it though):

I wouldn't call it no odor, but for me it was significantly easier than my other brand pro brush to get usable. I'm glad you like it. Enjoy.

Received my boar brush on the weekend and what a beauty it is. Thanks! BTW, does Zenith make the aluminum handle SB with a knot that is mm or two bigger?

They don't officially, but I've had them make some. They don't have the nickel ring on them to get the larger knot in it. I don't rememberr which brush you purchased, was it the one with the smaller loft?

[Image: 9AmXGWq.jpg]It has a 28mm rather than a 26mm knot. There is an increase in loft unfortunately. Part of that is because the ring is not there and with the knot set at the same depth in the handle, the other reason is that they set it slightly higher. This is still a short brush for a boar knot this size. Effective loft is 53-55mm with glue bump. Here is a picture with the B03-A26-L and B03-A26 compared.

After using the Red handle Zenith B3 for a full week, I am very satisfied with it. It's in the same league as my Omega 20106/07 and the various (much more expensive) badger brushes. Not better, but virtually equal in terms of performance. And at a much lower price than the badgers.

Gary
