It’s forced me to sell off so many other razors, and another culling of 2020’s finest may be coming! It’s almost criminal that I’d forgotten how good the General V2 is.

The General V2 is an outstanding SE razor and to think it almost never happened. I had an early prototype sitting at the corner of my kitchen table for many months. I kept it within sight and always knew I’d get back to the drawing board on it. I’m glad I did!

Thank you for sharing your positive remarks, AQU!

A new V2 handle is coming in 2021. We will be done making the current handle and just let it live on as a limited release handle. I have learned that I prefer, as well as many customers, the grip and aesthetic of diamond knurling. So, it will be diamond knurled. Smile

My V2 sits on top of a diamond-knurled handle (a Stork Anaconda) and I much prefer that handle to the stock handle. I realize it breaks up the "colonial" feel of the razor, but I get a much better grip. Good luck with the new handle!

To be honest, the original General V2 handle is one of the best I’ve used, both aesthetically and functionally. The clean lines look beautiful and provide no-slip grip, Even when choking up on it. It functions much like the Blackbird handle.

But knurling is always awesome! Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Is the General more efficient than the vector?

I love my General V2 as well with a Feather Super!  It’s my regular goto for most of my headshaves, and preferred over my Vector.  I like using the Silversmith handle with it!  I face shave with a straight.

For me too, General is the best.
My V1 aluminium is my standard.
Sold my Vector.

BTW, Vector was there as efficiency.
Just I don't like the weight, and find easier the blade changing on General.
AND, the aluminiun version is way cheaper.
Soooo, better q/p ratio.

I agree, PierPaolo, about preferring the General over the Vector.  Unfortunately, aluminum razors are too light for me.  I like a heavier razor.  Glad you like yours!
