Well even though I shave on a daily basis it’s not like I don’t have a group of great razors that don’t see the light of day. So waiting for the Enoch a little longer won’t result in a long scragglier beard. Good luck with the retooling.

There Is An Issue Sad

Group,

We have some bad news and some good news. I have 2 videos I will be posting below.  A shave with the new head and a Schick Blade (its great) and then an overview video of the issues with the thread/post on the new head.  Bottom line they sent us a post that was outside of the acceptable parameters for us to be able to Die (thread the post) so it would work with a standard safety razor handle.  The result is we cannot get the threads to work properly with the handle and it is loose and will strip the threads if you tighten it.

This is a stupid problem but one we cant remedy as we cant put more material on the post.  We have already sent an email to our manufacturer documenting this issue thoroughly and we await their response.  They should be coming online now... I will give an update on time line once I have the response from them.  I am not expecting it to take a ton of time but it will be weeks not days (and not months).   I will see and report back.

I hope the videos help demonstrate the performance and issue.  I am very sorry for this bad news.  We will be compensating anyone that is willing to stick with us with a $50+ bonus I will see about giving you options on items you can have as your bonus.  I will work with the team Tomorrow and early next week to get the bonuses lined up.  We will also be able to process full refunds for anyone that is fed up :-( Thank you for your support and this product bears my 2nd Son's name I am going to make sure we deliver it with everything perfect.

It shaves very well...

Thank you for the time.  I hope that everyone has a good weekend.  I will keep you updated as soon as information is given to me.

Regards,
Luke

Great info Luke and I will be sticking it out for this one. I want to add on a couple packs of the Schick Proline Blades as this is my go to blade in a couple other SE razors and I look forward to using it in the ENOCH. Keep us all posted!
I do have a question about the similarities of this razor and the Asylum Rx. The head removal and shape are very similar. Was this one slightly modeled after that one?

Hello,

Thank you for the support and understanding.

Yes this razor is a similar 3 piece razor to the Asylum razor with the way it nest's together.

I always like that style and think it's one of the cleaner ways to assemble a razor. I believe I have improved on the concept of the Asylum razor. But that is just my opinion. I will let the wet shavers go into their thoughts. The improvements I like are reduced head size to give you a closer shave. A simpler assembly with less interlocking channels reducing again the head size...

We have been wanting to do a hollowed hexagon handle forever. I was surprised to see someone also already does the hexagon handle. We are not able to easily hollow but hope to create one soon. We went for a lighter weight SE on this one I hope that it is well received.

Luke:
As others have said, I greatly appreciate your forthrightness in sharing all the bumps in the road with us, your early backers.  As a retired company owner, although in a completely different sector, I greatly appreciate your openness and willingness to make things right with your backers.  I bought an Oren, and although it wasn't the razor for me, my oldest son really likes it.  I'm glad you modified the razor to fit the Proline blade, my favorite AC blade.  As an early backer, I'm looking forward to receiving the Enoch when it's ready; and like others here, I have more than enough other razors in the line-up to keep myself occupied. I'll wait as long as it takes for you to get things right!  Thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this stressful time!

Looking forward to the Enoch,

Jeff

Group,

I was told that I will have a test piece to review shipped to me on the 16th. This will be from a new mold. I should have it 3-4 business days after. I will hopefully accept it (as I did the last one and they will rush production) Typically its 30-45 days for me to get product after an approval so this is going to be a longer delay than I expected. I did not want to have them ship me the part for approval but they will not go into production without my approval. I literally told them to look at my previous approved part and make it exactly like that one...

Anyhow that is the deal thus far. We are coming up with what the bonuses will be. I might make a multiple choice since most of us have different areas lacking in our wet shave closet. Thank you for the support. You guys are all very appreciated.

Regards,
Luke

Not a problem Luke,

At this point, I'm thinking that the manufacturer just want to be sure, since some miscommunication happened after you approved the last part and they got it wrong and sent you something different. Two more months would put it close enough to get an early Christmas present.

Hello Everyone,

I was informed last night that 4 samples from the new mold are on their way to us.  We should have them Friday or Saturday.  I will take a video when they arrive.  I told them not to apply the brushed finish just send to make sure they fit and shave properly.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Luke
