As others stated, if you want a refund it shouldn't be a problem, but I'd give them a chance to get it right unless you just want out. I'm sure they'll figure it out.

I haven't received an email as of yet. If the razor shaves as good as the Occam's Nano then I will be pleased. I am going to hang touch and see what happens.
Group,

The delay was we expected manufacturing to have them to us nearly 2 weeks ago. We will be receiving them today or tomorrow. We have to Die (thread) each post head. We will work through the weekend doing that and QA/QC of the goods.

We modified the head so it should work with Schieck Proline. I HAVE NOT SEEN OR TESTED THE NEWEST HEAD. I will today or tomorrow and report back. I will also test shave and report back maybe even video...

If you want a refund don't file a PayPal dispute just let Customer Service know... We will and have always been easy to work with.

I hope that helps.

Here are a couple of updates...

1.0 I am getting a few email from those that cancelled after being told the Schiek Proline would not work with this razor.  When we first heard this we redesigned the head for this razor (and a new head for other's Occam's etc) so the new parts coming should now work with Proline.  We did this redesign in the middle of production... That was a bad idea but I wanted it to work with all blades and thought we would make the timeline still.  My hope is that the short delay will be worth it.  I will test them today or tomorrow and video/pics of a shave.  If it works great anyone that cancelled will be able to purchase at the original price point.

2.0 Missing our production timeline.  I honestly was thinking this was an easy slam dunk to make.  FML I thought we would have shipped by now and baked in a few weeks for a buffer.  I am going to make that up to everyone as we ship products. Any of our Kickstarter people know we give bonuses... That is all i will say.  Sorry they are not shipped by the end of August.

3.0 I want to be as available as I can in a shaving forum where I can give useful feedback and help / answer questions.  I am a newb at this type of interaction so I welcome general questions for myself or TGN here or on another thread (if that is more appropriate).  I will do my best to get back ASAP.

Thanks,
Luke

Great update Luke! What about the shave of this razor? Will it be aggressive, mid-aggressive or mild? If I use a Feather Super with it, will it bite?

Luke,

Sorry I'm late to a response (was at work all day) and thank you for getting back to us so quickly with updates. I haven't purchased one of your razors until now, but I'm glad I did. To you for the courtesy and detailed responses. I'm looking forward to receiving mine and to adding it to my SOTD photos / rotation . A slight delay is well worth it to receive the right product the first time. Just my 2 cents... Thanks again.

I also ordered a razor, and am more than willing to wait.  I particularly like that you have made the head compatible with the Schick Proline blade.  It's my favorite blade.  Looking forward to receiving my new Enoch!

ENOCH RAZOR UPDATE

There Is An Issue Sad

Group,

We have some bad news and some good news. I have 2 videos I will be posting below.  A shave with the new head and a Schick Blade (its great) and then an overview video of the issues with the thread/post on the new head.  Bottom line they sent us a post that was outside of the acceptable parameters for us to be able to Die (thread the post) so it would work with a standard safety razor handle.  The result is we cannot get the threads to work properly with the handle and it is loose and will strip the threads if you tighten it.

This is a stupid problem but one we cant remedy as we cant put more material on the post.  We have already sent an email to our manufacturer documenting this issue thoroughly and we await their response.  They should be coming online now... I will give an update on time line once I have the response from them.  I am not expecting it to take a ton of time but it will be weeks not days (and not months).   I will see and report back.

I hope the videos help demonstrate the performance and issue.  I am very sorry for this bad news.  We will be compensating anyone that is willing to stick with us with a $50+ bonus I will see about giving you options on items you can have as your bonus.  I will work with the team Tomorrow and early next week to get the bonuses lined up.  We will also be able to process full refunds for anyone that is fed up :-( Thank you for your support and this product bears my 2nd Son's name I am going to make sure we deliver it with everything perfect.

It shaves very well...

Thank you for the time.  I hope that everyone has a good weekend.  I will keep you updated as soon as information is given to me.

Regards,
Luke

Got nothing but time brother. I can hear the disappointment & frustration while your explaining the issue with the head/stud assembly. And agreed, totally unacceptable for the manufacturer to send you units in that state. Glad that you’re sticking to your guns and willing to do what has to be done to get it right. Shit happens and the delay is a bummer but, I’d rather wait and receive a quality item that passes quality control standards and sticks to balls on tolerances. Great that you’re offering a no questions asked $$$ refund if anyone wants to back out. It’s not cheap going down this road that (losing money to retool and more raw materials) you’ve chosen and I give you mad props for that Luke.

Luke, thank you for the update. I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. I would rather wait and have the razor right when I receive it. Keeping us updated really means a lot. I hope you are able to salvage some of the holiday weekend.

Luke,

Just watched the videos. Thank you again for keeping us up to date. I'm sure you guys are all bummed out by this... But I'm sure everything will turn out okay. It does look really cool btw. Plus, even better that you guys modified the head to work with the Schick Prolines. I haven't tried them yet.

Honesty is key and I think most of us early backers will stick by you (I know I am). I have a ton of shave gear to occupy me for now - although I was looking forward to the Enoch for Single Edge September . It'll be okay. I think I'll survive. Keep your chin up buddy.

Josh
