The cream smells really nice but it's not worth 30 dollars...

I didn't know they also released the shaving soap with the Oud scent.

I hope some of our artisans can mimic that scent , improve it and release a good shaving soap. The AoS cream is not a top notch one when compare to other brands.

Is there an AOS oud shaving soap? I haven't seen it anywhere online. My impression is that there is a cream, but not shaving soap.

You are correct John, no soap, just the cream. The cream is an excellent performer I however.

Teiste, when was the last time you tried an AoS cream? My first foray into wet shaving was through AoS, and then I developed the attitude that their products were too expensive and didn't perform well, and then I tried them again about 4 years later and I can't tell you how mistaken I was. AoS products are fantastic, even the new soap is pretty good (not quite it's former tallow self, but still quite good. The creams on the other hand in my opinion are up there with the best creams available. If it's been a while since you last tried them I'd suggest giving them another shot.

I assumed they offered it in both, but must have been wrong. My understanding is you have to buy the Oud scent in their store at this time, which would explain why I haven't seen it online. I still haven't had a chance to get to the store but it's on my to do list.

I just saw that AoS sells the Oud shaving cream online. I wish they offered it in a soap, as I never cared much for their cream. However, due to Merkur Man's comment above I may give it a go again since it's been so long, and I was new to wet-shaving when I tried their creams. As for the shaving soap, it's one of my favs.

I whole heartedly agree! After about a 5 year AOS shaving cream hiatus, I decided to revisit this cream when earlier this year, I finally took the opportunity to sniff Ocean Kelp at an AOS store and became completely smitten with the scent which led to an immediate purchase.

To my complete and very pleasant surprise, the performance was sensational! I truly couldn't believe it was the same cream I felt was overpriced and was underwhelmed with 5 years ago.. In my experience, it easily reviled the best creams on the market today, most, if not all of which I've tried.

In my book, AOS creams are absolutely worth a try or revisiting. I think Teiste, if your taste hasnt change when it comes to scents, you'll especially enjoy the Ocean Kelp scent.

I like it. Oud puts hair on you chest. AOS oud has a bit of leather in the composition.

Now if it would only put hair on my head....

It's a nice fragrance but more leather than oud to my inexperienced nose.

Just shaved with the Oud cream and I have the AS as well. It sets a good base for my Oud based colognes and I really like it. I'm really excited about is their new Bourbon & Amber collection and I just got the whole line from pre shave oil, Shave cream, AS and the Cologne and every time I wear it the girls at work say whatever that is it smells great and you should wear it more often. I agree their products are a bit overpriced but they are not only online but have stores in malls and other high rent district areas of the country so their overhead is probably what drives up the prices. I have a lot of other soaps that cost less and some that cost a lot more but AOS products will always have a place in my den. I also support them as I think they gave our hobby a big boost in notoriety which has grown in the last 8yrs since I started to wet shaving.
