I got some synthetic knots I'm not a fan of, and while I have been saving them for a possible brush in the future, I'm thinking I would be better served trying to get them cut to see the construction instead. Thinking a band saw might be best. Not sure if anyone I know has one.

There are some DFS members with experience, Mr Bob Quinn from Elite Razors fo example,
I hope someone has some photos of disassembled and cut knots that are not set in glue

It seems from little bits and pieces I’ve gleaned through the years it isn’t a set process as I thought it was and each have some differences. Simpson on another forum worded something on knot construction that has given me pause for consideration. Look for posts from Paladin on this for knots being cut in half. Ken did this. I figure a first hand example wouldn’t hurt with my knots I have

I wonder how Oumo does it, they set their own knots, their nots are sold without glue at the base.
I will look at Paladin too

It would be nice if Thater would release a video of how they make their brushes, it would help understand.
I will look into Plisson, sounds very interesting,
