I was surprised to see a limited run of Morikami available too. Sadly my alert didn’t go off and I missed out on that one. Again.    I will just have to take comfort in the fact that in life, you can’t have everything.

There must have been a very small number of Morikami available. I was on the site right at 2:00, put some Morikami soap and a Shikoku set in my cart and it was marked "Sold Out" before I even got to the checkout.

There was a very limited amount and they went very quickly, sorry about that. I hope you were able to get the Shikoku before it sold out. Thankfully we were able to make more of it than our previous Japanese releases.

No worries Ryan, I’ve got plenty of soap.    I think it was cool that you re-released it at all even a little. Some guys were able to get it and I’m happy for them.

And I did get a Shikoku set.

Was able to pick up Shikoku set and a Sicilian set. This is my first time trying Tallow&Steel, look forward to trying it.

I didn't get the notice that Morikami would be there, so didn't see it. Then 10 minutes after purchase, I saw the email, and rushed back tot the site. I've been feeling bad about it since. Knowing I would likely not have gotten it anyway somehow feels better. 

I'm not a fan of these kinds of Les for just that reason, but of course it's business, and can't fault Ryan for doing it.

Marko is right, the flip side is there are some happy people out there.

Still looking forward to the haul of soaps I ordered along with Shikoku.

I'm sorry for you guys that missed out.  From time-to-time, I have been in that same boat with one vendor or another.  But everything went smooth as silk for me this time, and I hope you don't mind my sharing. ...

I have actually dialed back most shave related buying, but T+S nails it for me, so I splurged this time (splurged for me, anyway).

Most of the Japanese scents sell out even quicker the second time and you will never know if it will come back again. I missed Kyoto the first time around and got lucky the second time around, but it sells out within the first minute if Ryan announces it ahead of time. When I bought Kyoto I just put it in the cart and used Apple Pay ASAP to make sure I got it and it was sold out before 1 minute had passed.

Morikami at least lasted 5 minutes (I didn't get it this time around because I figured others should have a chance if they didn't have it already). If he announced it would be on sale at the same time as Shikoku I doubt you'd see it when you hit refresh the first time lol.

Personally I was a bit disappointed when Shikoku lasted for more than an hour because I waited at my computer and hit refresh on the shop page to make sure I got it. I felt stupid when it wasn't sold out for so long.

Yes - no worries. I had set an alarm to log in for the Shikoku so I wasn’t even aware that the Morikami was going to be available until it suddenly appeared. I didn’t have enough time to be disappointed.

Hey thanks! With our usual LE’s we always try to make enough so it sticks around long enough to ensure everyone who wants it can get it. With the Japanese releases, the way we receive the materials is.. a little unconventional.. so it’s difficult to order larger quantities - in this case we were limited to a kilo of each citrus. Combine that with customers really showing up for these Japanese releases in a big way, and that’s why they tend to sell-out quickly.

Thank you so much! It’s comments like these that really help me keep up the motivation to create and produce. I have so many ideas, but not as much time as I’d like to make them happen.
