I'm with you there, Himalaya and Morocco are tied near the top for me after West Indies. Sad to hear Morocco is gone and Himalaya is going.

That really surprised me! I can understand dropping Morocco because it was so divisive, but I thought Himalaya was quite popular. Oh well, gotta make room for new exciting things somehow. I'm not particularly attached to Maya, but I know it's Ryan's favorite.

That’s really the gist of it, making room for other stuff. Dropping Morocco wasn’t due to it being divisive, it still sold well for us - in this case it was my just my least favourite! It’s cost was also very high.

Ryan you should handle the artwork for all future collabs. Orangeilla's artwork looks nice, but just doesn't compare to your other stuff!

Thank you! We have another collab coming up in a few months time in which we are doing the artwork.

Cheers

To be honest...who really cares about artwork? The products are not on shelf in a store...and 99.99% of the time they sit in a dark medicine cabinets or in a closet or shelf...with the label covered by other soaps. And once you take them out to use them....the first thing you do is......take the cap off. I could care less. Artwork has never been a reason for getting...or not getting a shaving product....I’d advise makers to spend the money on ingredients not artwork. But...that’s me

I disagree on the artwork. I think it helps with branding and creating the vibe around the given product. I usually place the lid where I can see it while shaving.

To me the whole vibe is the base and the scent....It wouldn’t bother me if it was in a plain tub with a yellow post it note as a label..But...YMMV....

Well, I do. More than once, I’ve bought a product because I was influenced by the artwork. In the end, it of course does boil down to a product’s performance, and no amount of fancy design is going to change that.

But why not have both — classy designs and great performance? I feel that Tallow + Steel is one of the companies that excels on both fronts.

It's kind of like how I buy an album for the music (of course) but enjoy the album art as well.
